Tasting notes
93pts, Cameron Douglas
"This is a delicious wine with aromas and flavours that mirror the first home of Albariño in Spain - there’s a lifted floral and sea air quality to the bouquet leading to fruit scents of white peach and citrus. There’s a touch of elderflower and white fruit spices. On the palate a dry wine with a refreshing electricity to the acid line. Flavours transition from a satin smooth white fleshed stone fruits through to citrus. A fine lees quality layers in some palate texture alongside the acidity and fruit core. Balanced and well made, ready to drink from 2023 through 2026."

Winemaker's notes
A cool fermentation utilising a yeast designed to heighten the aromatics and provide mouthfeel were used in this wine. After fermentation, the wine was racked off lees, stabilised and filtered prior to bottling.
Vineyard
Seaview
Our Seaview Vineyard in the Awatere Valley is exposed to some of the toughest growing conditions in Marlborough; high sunshine and wind, cool nights and low rainfall which produces a smaller, thicker skinned berry with intense fruit flavours. This wine is a blend of two different blocks on the property – one warmer, sheltered inland block and a coastal block. The wine brings together in harmony the diverse spectrums of the blocks; the warmer site contributing he expressive aromatics and the cooler site giving the mineral backbone and length.
