Bright, fresh sauvignon blanc with guava, grapefruit, pineapple and subtle passionfruit flavours. A moderately intense wine with punchy aromatics and a lingering finish.
Lifted notes of white peach and passionfruit, underpinned with citrus. The palate is full with pure fruit flavours, yet balanced with a long crisp citrus finish.
Highly aromatic fruit flavours of blackcurrant leaf and citrus blossom with a vibrant palate that is pure with an elegant mineral finish.
Our Seaview Vineyard is the most coastal vineyard in New Zealand and experiences some fairly harsh conditions as a result. It produces small, thick-skinned berries with intense flavours. In comparison, our Willow Flat Vineyard is further inland with reduced coastal influences, and creates a much sweeter fruit.
Two parcels from the Awatere Valley were selected to create this wine. One from our coastal Seaview Vineyard and the other, more inland, from our Willow Flat Vineyard.
This Sauvignon Blanc shows the wonderful typicity that the Awatere Valley is known for.
We allowed this Sauvignon Blanc a long cool fermentation in stainless steel to capture and enhance the pure fruit flavours.
The fruit was crushed, de-stemmed and gently pressed. The juice was cold settled for 72 hours, after which the clear juice was racked off, followed by a long cool fermentation in stainless steel. The individual parcels were fermented separately using selected yeasts before they were blended, stabilised, filtered and bottled.
Enjoy with both fresh and cooked seafood such as oysters, prawns mussels or fish.
Fish, mussels, oysters or prawns.
Our Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is excellent with fish dishes, both fresh and cooked.

Bright, fresh sauvignon blanc with guava, grapefruit, pineapple and subtle passionfruit flavours. A moderately intense wine with punchy aromatics and a lingering finish.
It is intensely aromatic on the nose showing grapefruit, feijoa, passionfruit and elegant herbaceous aromas, which lead to a generously fruited palate that is vibrant and lively. The wine offers terrific fruit purity, and finishes superbly long and attractive.
Attractive bouquet with layers of spice, fruit, lees complexity, soft spice and intrigue. On the palate – dry with great fruit concentration and freshness; layers of spice and fruit with a floral, stone mineral layer, sweet herbs, decent texture and length, balanced and well made with drinking now and through 2018.
Offering good value, the 2015 vintage is a classic Awatere Valley style. Medium to full-bodied, it has fresh, vibrant melon and green-capsicum flavours, showing good intensity, and a tangy, dry, lingering finish.
