Vintage 24 Notes From Nat

I'm so excited to share with you our vintage 24 wines.

This vintage was a reminder that we are in the hands of Mother Nature, proving to be as unpredictable and beautiful as the wildflowers that grow between our vines. The season gave us early spring frosts, cooler temperatures during flowering, and prolonged dry conditions, all contributing to lower yields.

Vintage 24 produced wines of exceptional quality with an abundance of flavour. Our Seaview Vineyard Sauvignon Blancs have notes of ripe greens, lifted thyme, and kaffir lime leaf. On the palate, they are powerful yet poised, demonstrating natural balance and harmony.

Every vintage I’m aiming to capture the essence of our vineyard sites and showcase how mother nature has put her spin on the season.

The wine show season has started with a bang for us – with a fistful of gold medals already! The team are super excited about the wines from this vintage and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Read on for my favourite picks of vintage 24.

24 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc

Our Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is where I like to showcase what I think the epitome of Seaview Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is all about. Bright fresh herbals - with lifted noted of salty snow pea and blackcurrant leaf and a textural palate with crushed oyster shell and sea spray minerality. This wine is a perfect pairing with anything from the ocean.

24 Single Vineyard Albarino

The Albarino is definitely a favourite child of mine and I'm very excited about our new vintage release. With the hot and dry growing season, we have beautiful ripeness and lovely balanced zippy acidity - which Albarino is known for. I love the expression of Albarino that we get from our Seaview Vineyard - it has that classic subtle saltiness that makes this varietal so moreish. We fermented around 25% of the blend in old oak barrels to build in texture and structure and the balance was fermented in stainless steel to capture beautiful floral notes. This wine will be in my fridge this summer!

24 Single Vineyard PGR

Our Single Vineyard PGR is an aromatic blend that we make from Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Riesling. It’s always a fun, busy day for the team when we harvest this wine. It’s a field blend so we pick all three grape varieties and process them on the same day. This wine is an exotic, spicy number with heady aromas of lychee, ginger flower and jasmine. This is my go-to when going out for Thai or any Asian cuisine. The PGR has beautiful aromatics and an oily, silky texture. Yummo!

I hope you enjoy our new wines.

Cheers!
