• Yealands Sauvignon Blanc 2020 Marlborough – 5 Stars
"This vegetarian and vegan friendly wine is a blend of fruit taken from the Awatere and Wairau Valley vineyards. Fermented as separate parcels in stainless steel using a range of selected of yeasts that enhance the varietal characters of Sauvignon Blanc. A pale lemon colour with lively aromas of gooseberry, mandarin, nectarine, and white florals with freshly cut herbs. A high impact palate bursting with grapefruit, passionfruit, lemon, and crushed stone minerality with intense cleansing acidity and a long finish."
• Yealands Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2020 Marlborough – 5 Stars
"Parcels from the Seaview vineyard in the Awatere Valley, that are in close proximity to the sea, were used in the production of this Reserve wine. The grapes were destemmed, gently pressed, and fermented with inoculated yeasts in stainless steel. A complex nose filled with passionfruit, citrus, tomato leaf and gooseberry. The flavours of apple, lemon, and passionfruit are pure and concentrated on the rounded texture of the wine. Mouth-watering acidity and a salty mineral finish linger on the palate. This wine would be perfect with whole baked fish served with tomato and fennel salad. "
• Yealands Single Block L5 Sauvignon Blanc 2019 Marlborough – 5 Stars
"The coastal location of the L5 Block on the Seaview Vineyard means it is one of the last to be harvested. Intense ripe, juicy aromas of mandarin, grapefruit, Granny Smith apple, and herbal notes, with touches of passionfruit and sea salt. The dry palate is structured and lean with citrus, apple and mineral characters, high impact acidity and a fresh finish. This wine would be perfect with fried calamari served with fresh rocket and aioli."
• Yealands Rose 2020 Marlborough – 5 Stars
"Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are used in the production of this rose wine. The Pinot Noir has extended skin contact in the press to extract the desired colour and flavour profiles whilst the Pinot Gris is gently pressed and cold settled before fermentation. A cute bubble gum pink colour with lovely, bright aromas of raspberry, crunchy red cherries, juicy lemon with a creamy undertone. A softly textured wine with gentle citrus, apple, floral notes, and a fresh, vibrant acidity leading the way to a long finish."
• Yealands Reserve Rose 2020 Marlborough – 5 Stars
"Produced at the Toitu carbon zero winery in the Awatere Valley, this vegan wine is a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Pale pink with a salmon hue. Delicious aromas of savoury strawberry, wild raspberry, cranberry and rose petals. This is a complex wine with layers of red fruits, spice, and mineral notes. A serious rose that is incredibly versatile, enjoy on its own or with a wide range of seafood, charcuterie, or Asian dishes."
• Yealands Reserve Pinot Noir 2019 Marlborough – 4 ½ Stars
"2019 was a long and hot vintage in Marlborough producing concentrated, high impact wines. Grapes taken from low yielding vines in the Awatere Valley were fermented with inoculated yeast strains and delicate cap management used. Aged in French oak barrels. Medium ruby with a slight touch of purple. A blend of red and dark fruit with crushed red rose petals and oak derived spices on the nose. A soft and supple wine with flavours of juicy cherry and raspberry with dark plum and baking spices. The barely there tannins and lifted acidity leads into a long finish containing touches of chocolate."
• Yealands Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019 Marlborough – 5 Stars
"Separate parcels of fruit are fermented using a combination of wild and inoculated yeasts. Gently pressed and aged in a mixture of French oak barriques and cuves for eight months. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Stunning, bright crimson in colour. Pop the lamb in the oven now and put this wine in the decanter! The powerful aromas jump from the glass, juicy plum, boysenberry, smoky oak, and a touch of savouriness. Richly textured and flavoured, ripe red and dark fruit, and spice with a subtle tannin structure and a long and deliciously fruit driven finish."
